Upon My Rock

I stand upon my Rock, hands outstretched and head thrown back
The wind plays through my hair, caresses my skin.

I stand upon my Rock, arms clutched round my head, chin tucked to chest
The wind screams through my ears, flings pain at my skin.

I crouch upon my Rock, fingers clutching with desperate grip.
The wind sends agony, pulling and pushing in rage.

I lay flat upon my Rock, exhausted and despairing.
The wind spreads coldness past my flesh and bone, leaving me bare.

I rise upon my Rock, all pretenses exposed.
The wind sparkles with light, as I reflect you.

I shelter upon my Rock, as you cleanse all my wounds.
The wind whispers into fearful silence, and I am embraced by you.
